Welcome to the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Pathology Core Facility

The Pathology Core Facility (PCF) is a shared resource of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center. It provides laboratory processing (histology, immunohistochemistry, molecular analysis and extraction, and microscopic evaluation); procurement of biospecimens for clinical trials and biobanking; and serves as the coordinating office and reference laboratory for the ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group.

PCF is the only facility at Northwestern University to simultaneously hold a CLIA certification and accreditation by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).

Dr. Stephen M. Rohan is the interim director of the facility.
